Meet the maker

Welcome to the world of BARK, where elements of the modern and the nostalgic, the beautiful and the kitsch, the eccentric and the curious meet.

Way back in 2003, I was a fresh faced student at London Guildhall University (Sir John Cass Department of Art), longing to create jewellery with a special "je ne sais quoi" that I believed could only be made with lots of attention to detail, in a small studio (by me!). And so, my personal project BARK was born.

I went on to launch my first official collection at Paris Fashion Week in 2005, which subsequently led me to work with over 30 stockists worldwide throughout the ten years that followed.

Twenty+ years(!) on and thankfully, I am still passionate about jewels, and continue to make all my creations in my workshop in London. Inspiration is drawn from all the things I  like  - art, music (mainly from the 1940-60s), travels and daily rituals of life in London.  Once I get a burst of inspiration, I sit at the workbench with these ideas and start playing around with different shapes and forms, often using jeweller's wax. The final pieces are always crafted from recycled silver and gold.

I hope you will appreciate and enjoy these little gems created by me with a sprinkle of whimsy, love and care!
